Joan Kantu Else - Founder
Joan's journey in the Tourism and Travel sector has allowed her the privilege of serving on several boards and committees all with the purpose moving the sector forward. She is currently the Minister Of Tourism for the Kingdom of Tooro and the Deputy Chair of the Presidential Investors’ Round Table in Uganda ( PIRT ) a forum set up and chaired by H. E. President Yoweri Museveni that brings together leading experts across a range of sectors to advise government on how to improve Uganda’s investment climate. In 2019 she was recognised by CEO Global and named among Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government and has also served on the Uganda Wildlife Authority Board

Joan is a mother, entrepreneur and business woman who has been fortunate enough to have been successful her chosen field of Travel and Tourism.
She is the founder and managing director of Let’s Go Travel ( Uganda ), one of the country’s leading travel agencies offering , tailor-made safaris, holiday bookings and business travel solutions.

Let’s Go Travel ( Uganda ) was started after a casual conversation with a family friend. There were plenty of long hours, hard work as well as what seemed to be insurmountable challenges. The mantra that kept Joan sane and focused, was, ” If I can bring up a family, then I can do this”.
Today Let’s Go Travel continues to grow from strength to strength and in 2008 Let’s Go Travel became a network partner for BCD Travel, one of the largest providers of corporate travel management worldwide with representatives in over 100 countries.

Both through Let’s Go Travel and in a private capacity, Joan has tried to be a consistent contributor to worthy causes. She has focused particularly towards helping children into education and supporting women’s groups with livelihood improvement schemes.
What next you may ask? Well, she hopes that the hours she is putting in yoga and golf will ensure fitness and good health in her future old age, yes it happens to the best of us. She also hopes for a little play time as well where her one real indulgence is spa treatments. She also loves music and the arts, especially the preservation of Uganda’s cultural heritage
